RWave Offshore Work Platform

Augmentias has developed a concept, the Rwave, for reducing the cost of installing, inspecting and maintaining the plant installed in the nacelles of remote offshore wind farms; and is moving towards the FEED stage of its development.

Augmentias has taken a holistic approach in developing Rwave and intends to fully integrate all aspects of the chain from the mobilisation of personnel and plant onshore, through the offshore work station and infield movements to tower craneage. It is only in this way that interfaces and interactions can be optimised with the benefit of substantial overall cost savings.

Therefore, it includes a turbine tower mounted crane, such as a marine version of the Gamesa FlexFit, the Vestas VTC or the Scottish Enterprise WTAS, as well as an offshore work station and infield vessels.
